What's a Tenancy Day all about?

Tenancy Days are about giving information to people with learning disabilities who are living in the community with support. Outreach 3 Way aims to organise these events on an annual basis.
Organisations such as Breakaway Holidays, the ICIS information service, the community police and the fire brigade are on hand to share useful tips, and we provide lunch. Outreach 3 Way's drama group adds entertainment to the proceedings.
Tenancy days may include slide shows or talks about aspects of daily life such as staying safe when you're out and about, or being aware of fire safety at home. Workshops offer another way to find out about options such as supported holidays, or where to go for advice.
In previous years, sponosors have included Mio Technology, Radiopaq, The Partnership Board of the LDDF, Bodyshop, Nestle Sweets and Arun District Council.
This year, we've been able to organise the March 15 Tenancy Day thanks to a generous anonymous donation, which we greatly appreciate. To find out more about this free event, which is being held at Field Place in Worthing, please call Janet Hawkes on 01903 234 355.
Outreach 3 Way CEO Catherine Sweeney comments: "Tenancy Days offer invaluable help to vulnerable people."
